http://totallythebomb.com/5-reasons-to-not-vaccinate-your-kids"People shouldnt have to vaccinate their kids. In fact, parents absolutely know whats best for their kids in every situation, which is why youve never heard of a mom calling a doctor at two AM because her child has a fever. Moms automatically know exactly what to do. They know better than anyone what their child needs or doesnt need. When a woman conceives a child, the entirety of human knowledge is written into her essence and as that child is brought forth unto this world, that knowledge flowers in her mommy brain and every decision she makes for her child is absolutely the right, and only right decision. Thats why the vaccination debate is so ridiculous to me because moms inherently know more than everyone. So here are 5 Reasons To NOT Vaccinate Your Kids.
1. You dont like them, anyway.
I get it. Some kids are just born a little more awful than others. So if your plan is to not vaccinate your kid in hopes that theyll catch some horrible virus thatll off them so you can start over, sure. That makes total sense. Its evil, and disgusting, and I hope you get a million fire ant bites, but hey, the good news is thats less likely to happen to you than your child catching something deadly because youre an inherent dumb-dumb.
2. Youre more scared of big scientific sounding words than you are of viruses that have killed millions upon millions of people.
I get it! Vaccines have a lot of big, scary words. And, some of the ingredients in vaccines have been linked to carcinogenic risks and I bet even a very eensy teensy tiny portion of the population might be allergic to some of the ingredients and they might have a bad reaction. Know what? Thats why the doctor keeps you at the office for 15 minutes after your child receives a vaccine. That way if they react, the doctor can fix it. Nifty set up, huh? And as for the scary words, know what other scientific word kills people? Dihydrogen monoxide. And yet you still put it into your body every single day. So put away your dictionary, and stop freaking out over words that you maybe dont understand.

(22,336 posts)Because, of all things, when they're vaccinated, they're ingesting ANIMAL PRODUCTS, like that's unheard of for human beings to do. I told her that my kids ingest animal products pretty regularly, but we often call it "eating." People are stupid and weird.
Take care!

I'm old enough to remember iron lungs.
I don't want to go back there.
Now... the over use of antibiotics and the quantity of hormones, steroids and other pharmaceuticals in our environment, drinking water, and food is another problem all together.

(90,714 posts)....because those crippled kids had to be able to haul themselves up whatever stairs there were wearing heavy metal braces on their legs and using crutches.
When the vaccine was first made publicly available, an evening clinic was held at my elementary school. The line of parents bringing their kids reached out the door, down the walkway, and clear across the playing field as we waited in the dark. My little sister was needle-phobic, but with the prospect of death or permanent severe disability right in front of them, my parents held her tight while she got her shot and didn't coddle her.
The ignorance of mommies who have never seen this with their own eyes will not protect their children.

(39,961 posts)We have a vaccine for Chicken Pox now. Do you know the hell I went through when I got it right at the onset of puberty. It sucked.
Acting like there is no disease you want to vaccinate for while exposing other children and adults to madness is obscene.
Vaccinate your pets, vaccinate your children and quit trying to be a trendy dumbass.

(2,535 posts)In the old days, mothers took their children to other children who were infected hoping their children would catch it while they were young. My cousin failed to give me the mumps and since I did get the Chicken Pox ( don't remember who gave them to me ) I had to get the Shingles shot a couple of years ago.
Just curious, do people who were children and vaccinated against Chicken Pox need to get the Shingles shot. After all, they did get the virus.

(5,693 posts)She has avoided vaccinating my granddaughter so far. The girl is going to be three years old and has yet to have a single vaccination. Tried everything to convince my daughter to at least vaccinate for polio. (she even has a perfect example in my cousin who contracted polio at the age of two and has had to live with partial paralysis all her life). Nothing doing. Daughter and BF have even gone so far as to move TO Germany, and now back to the US (because German kids go to Kindergarten at age three and homeschooling is frowned upon) to fly under the vaccination radar. Yes, she's gotten to the point where she is going to home school if the alternative is to have the baby vaccinated.

(49,212 posts)so unless your daughter's going to take a family trip to the Afghan-Pakistani border sometime in the next few months you probably don't need to worry about that one.

(49,212 posts)Look, I agree that the mom is a twit and the kid really should get her shots for her own sake and everybody else's. But there have been ten cases of polio this year, last year there were 74. And the only reason that region still has it is because it's a wartorn, impoverished, impassably mountainous and religiously backward place. The chances that somebody is going to have the resources to get out of there, actually do so, not get their vaccinations at some point on the way, get into Germany and then get permission to travel to the US without proof of vaccination against said highly communicable disease?
I understand why that poster is worried about her grandchild. I would be too. But that's definitely the disease I'd worry least about, at this time. It's teetering on the edge of extinction.

(14,177 posts)there is a family history of problems. No religious exceptions and yes the government can do that when the government has a overriding concern. For example you are required to have your children get an education up to the age of 16 if you can't homeschool then your children have to go to a public or private school.
