Justin Bieber Angers Prince Fans With Instagram Comment After Singer's Death

http://my.xfinity.com/articles/entertainment-eonline/20160422/b759124/

Justin Bieber sparked the wrath of scores of Prince fans when he posted on Instagram a remark about the late singer many deemed insensitive.

The 22-year-old singer, who wasn't even born when the pop icon achieved worldwide fame with hits such as "Purple Rain" and "Kiss," had commented on a tribute post by musician and former California Breed guitarist Andrew Watt. He had called Prince, who died at age 57 Thursday, "the last of the greatest living performers."

"Well not the last greatest living performer," read a comment posted from Bieber's account, which many people screen-grabbed and posted elsewhere on social media.

Angry Prince fans immediately responded to the pop singer.

Riiiiiiight. I'm so sure Bieber would have been opening for Prince on his next tour.

his narcissism seemingly knows no bounds.

I can't help but wish for early Karma on his behalf as I see no likelihood of him "growing out of it".

They are great living performers.

I don't know anything about this Bieber fellow anyway, except that he seems to have taken adolescent interest away from Paul Anka and Fabian.

Then here is something amazing that you have likely never seen before!

There's no doubt that Prince loved Mudbone and Peanut--and Bootsy. He went out of his way to partner up with Sheila E, who was already a funk legend by the age of 19, playing with the great George Duke:

The things that saddens me most is that people seem to become "the greatest fan ever" after a musician dies.

Hopefully he was referring to them and not himself.
