Still, there are some conservatives who are not knuckling under to the New Normal of Trumpism Triumphant. One of my favorite resisters is the beloved conservative humorist P. J. ORourke, who says wait for it hes voting for Hillary. And his explanation is interesting:
I am endorsing Hillary. The second worst thing that could happen to this country. But shes way behind in second place, you know? Shes wrong about absolutely everything but shes wrong within normal parameters! . . . I mean, this man just cant be president of the US. I mean, they got this button, its in a briefcase, hes gonna find it.
Now, remember: P. J. ORourke is so right-wing that he once made fun of FDR as being on the wheelchair ramp to the Gates of Hell. That right-wing enough for ya? This is no RINO GOPe cuck squish were talking about here.

(45,319 posts)2008- " Being a Republican, I'm backing Hillary Clinton. Because she could lose. The reason is not that she's a woman. The reason is that she's the particular woman who taught the 4th grade class that every man in America wished he were dead in. Hillary Clinton is Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown. Hillary Clinton is 'America's ex-wife.'
2004- "There are two organizations pushing for change in November al Qaeda and the Democratic party. And they both have the same message: 'We're going to fix you, America.' On the whole, the terrorists have a more straightforward plan for fixing things. They're going to blow themselves up. Although, come to think of it, Howard Dean did that."
A man to be trusted?

(9,463 posts)...that Hillary is so far to the right that, now that it appears that she may be a nominee, republicans are finding her preferable to their own candidate and are moving to her corner and supporting her.
