"People United Means Action" (or PUMA) was a political action committee in the United States that opposed the Democratic Party leadership and the nomination of Senator Barack Obama as the Democratic candidate for President in the 2008 presidential election.[1] PUMA began as an effort by supporters of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton who believed that Clinton should have been the Democratic nominee.[2][3] According to PUMA, "We [were] protesting the 2008 Presidential election because we refuse to support a nominee who was selected by the leadership rather than elected by the voters."[4]

Hillary made the nomination at the convention and threw her support to him vigorously. That's what Party members do -- because they believe in the same basic principles, which is why they are in the same party.

Right?

Obama probably wouldn't win Georgia, but he'd win a few of the more northern red states.

I would suggest if Obama was running again, trump would not be the republican nominee. trump wouldn't want to take on an incumbent. And even if he did, the republicans would pick a more traditional candidate to face Obama.

Guess I am a little less sure. Once the president was a candidate I fear the hate would come flooding down again. I know his numbers are up right now and I am glad. Hope he goes out with some appreciation. I am grateful he has been our president. He is gracious and I appreciate that. My RW neighbors hated Trump last year and are all for him at the moment. The president is still a muslim don't ya know. Got that explained to me Saturday! I stopped watching MSM so do not know that is being said on fake news.

Oh yeah.

But all of us who have spent the past 8 years hiding out in the BOG to avoid the venom at DU would still have to hide out in the BOG. Thank God DU is not real life.
