He gives them the best chance of defeating Obama and that is all that matters. I was listening to some RW radio station last night and the host was ranting about how deficient Romney was and how he is not the ideal "conservative" candidate but then ended the rant by saying how the listeners should ignore it all and still go ahead and vote for Romney because of the Supreme court seats about to open up. Ironically, that is some of the arguments used by some liberals to promote Obama here on DU.

Both the RW windbag you heard and the Dems on DU are right. The winner in November will most likely be choosing one or more justices over the next 4 years. Although, there are many other issues this is the elephant in the room.
Abortion, healthcare, election finance, gay rights, women's rights, are just a few of the issues which most likely will be coming before the court.
