believe.

Romney's whole back story goes against his Republican base -- Mormon with 3 wives moves to Mexico when Utah become part of the USA, 30 years later they come back during the Mexican American war... blah, blah, blah...dodge Vietnam in France, speaks French, Massachusettes big money liberal Kennedy-wanna-be who created Romney-care which is the basis of Obama-care...

No wonder he only gets 30% of the Republican base! There are only 2 things the RW base likes about Romney: 1) the color of his skin and 2) the fact that we hate him.

Not the Mexican War which was about 1845 but the Mexican Revolution about 1910 until 1920.

The Dems had a poor candidate in Shannon O'Brien, the State Treasurer. The Treasurer's office was mired in scandal around that time. Personally, I voted for Robert Reich in the Dem primary that year. And of course, I voted for O'Brien when she was the nominee.

Mittens portrayed himself as much more moderate than he really is, and quite a few voters who were bothered by O'Brien's problems opted for him, since MA had had a few repuke governors in the previous few years.
