Be sure they have checked with voter registration officials to make sure their registration matches exactly the id they are going to present. Make sure the address matches as well.
This seems very mundane, but so many states are trying to stop us from voting, especially minorities and elderly people. I think we should have people calling our voters and making sure they have what they need to legally vote.
I predict a really nasty November trying to vote.

(34,136 posts)At least that is what I was told by the person from the FDP campaign office I met with Tuesday (who was trying to recruit me to volunteer to work with the state offices in Tallahassee).
Since the Florida primary is long over (March 15) they are gearing up for the general election. Saturday there is a training session on registering people to vote. They will doing that as much as possible, depending on how many volunteers they get.
The other things they are emphasizing are getting people out to vote and supporting the candidates for the down ticket races. Since they haven't got a single Democrat signed on to replace Representative Gwen Graham in District 2, this will be a challenge!

(45,319 posts)How long will other States put up with this unmitigated bullshit? I predict voting in late October while eating Halloween candy and smoking a joint in my favorite polling place, my own living room. I never ask myself for ID. It seems redundant.
