They have had enough blame thrown at them. I just want them to know that a lot of us respect them.

(15,518 posts)Because DU had simply become ugly.
I read your explanation as to your timing, and I understand your reasoning better now.
I can't wait until June 16th when we can get down to business and work to defeat Trump. I'm a Texan and I came to DU initially because I feared what George W. Bush would do to this country. I'd witnessed Bush's policies first hand and had seen the devastation that he left behind in Texas. I wanted to be around like minded people.
If I was ever worried about George W., then I am absolutely terrified as to Donald Trump. We must not let him win.

If someone really hates something so much, just walk away. Otherwise, just do your best, suck it up, go by the established rules and try to get your points across without being an ass.

(2,593 posts)I love it when he hits maximum tolerance for bullshit and drops the hammer. He's more tolerant than I could ever be and has a terrific way of righting the ship when necessary.
I value his input on any subject and always appreciate his posts. Why would we want a silent administrator? He's devoted years of his life to this endeavor and his commitment to the Democratic Party is strong and clear. His is a voice we need to hear more often.
EarlG and Elad deserve the same level of gratitude and appreciation.

Back to their more natural home... The powerful Green Party, Libertarian party and the few, and I stress few, who will vote for Trump.
There has always been a loud and valuable group to the left of the Democratic Party. While always pissed, they do help drive the agenda. But will never be the democratic mainstream. I am just not one of them.

(3,865 posts)Underground has the BEST online Hillary Group! So thank you to Misters Skinner, EarlG and Elad! I am confident that DU will continue to be a cool place to hang out with my fellow political junkies and that after the primaries are over, healing will occur for all of us. I know that Skinner has been taking fire from all sides during the contentious primary season and I appreciate that he has hung in there through it all! DU IS A KICK ASS SITE! *And I mean that in the most positive, complimentary Democratic Donkey Way!

(4,187 posts)over the last few weeks. Skinner, if you're reading this, please know that not everyone thinks you're a bad person, as you said in one of your posts. I, for one, am convinced you're a good person trying to do as good a job as possible on something you care about deeply. There are few things more admirable than that in this world.
