I arrived at Ft. Lewis for Basic and AIT 10 months after that, but didn't head to Vietnam until early '69.

2/501 Infantry, 101st Airborne Division. I was treated at 85th and 95th Evac Hospitals, ICU in Japan, and Letterman Army Hospital in San Francisco.
