I mean, for fuck's sake, when it comes to this issue with Brock, the fucking judge, Brock's dad and that fucking piece of shit friend of his, what the fuck are these people's malfunction?
I'm a straight white male, since I've was about 18, I went through a "party binge" period from that age until about 22 years old or so. I'm strictly a social drinker, and Tequila was my poison, more often than not, though I also like Rum with Coke, sometimes whiskey, and sometimes I like wine with dinner, and that was just last Saturday! lol, just kidding.
Anyways, I've been to house parties, bars, clubs, etc. Always mixed crowds/friends, and yes, sometimes that means that at 4 o'clock in the morning you will stumble around in the living room, stepping over people passed out on the floor, trying not to vomit, or needing to pee, etc. and plenty of those people were women. Or be a DD and practically drag your crush out of the club, pile her in the back seat, drive her home and literally tuck her into bed, and you know what, it never even occurred to me to take advantage of her.
Same goes for every women I've ever seen passed out, asleep or in various states of inebriation and undress. I'll try not to recount all my drunken youth escapades here, and there are plenty of stupid assed things I did while drunk. And not one of them involved me violating the personal space of any human being. Maybe its because I'm a happy drunk, or just chill in general, but it never even occurred to me take advantage of anyone in a compromised position.
I was taught something very simple growing up, keep your hands and other appendages to yourself unless invited to do otherwise. Despite my attempts to crowdsurf, powerslide down hallways or find other ways to hurt myself, I was able to not rape anyone, apparently that's a huge accomplishment to some people.

I have seen stern harsh people become nicer and more caring when drunk, and I have seen the most polite and charming people become nasty pricks when drunk, I think that is seeing behind the facade and learning who the true person is.

Was playing drunken scrabble with a couple of friends once, just sitting in the living room, drinking some of my friend's dad's homemade wine, it was fortified. Something struck me as funny, and I started laughing so hard I fell off the recliner and onto the floor, I just couldn't stop.

(3,585 posts)don't pay attention to, although good hearted giggling does indicate a good natured person and is usually a fun part of drinking.
What I really want to find out is, does a monster surface, a bad person, sometimes you see someone become something that once you see it, you can't forget is in there.
To be more specific, I'm really looking to see if evil is concealed in the person and trying to evaluate their honesty.
Happy drunks are fine by me.

(35,382 posts)So if you are sexually propositioned while drunk and give that consent that isn't consent, is that making you something you're not or just "loosening" you up?
I'm assuming that the lack of ability to give valid consent works both for guys and for gals, and that either can be the initiator in charge of determining whether consent has been validly granted.

(34,582 posts)who opens up a bit when drinking. I am more likely to engage in conversation while drunk. I am generally a nice guy, and beer allows me to let my guard down.

(100,117 posts)Committing sexual assault? Never, not once crossed my mind. And it never will, either. There's something seriously wrong with these people.

(11,076 posts)That being said this is no excuse. This young man did rape and will always be a rapist. He may not have raped without the alcohol but that is not the issue.

(111,405 posts)Predators only care about domination and humiliation and prefer a dose of necrophilia with it. It's one reason Brock also used an object (as yet unspecified) in the attack.
Women aren't human beings to those guys, they're just prey.

However, there is a strong correlation between alcohol and violent behavior and this association is not all that well understood. One study suggests the effect is limited to those with suppressed anger. So just because alcohol affects you one way, doesn't mean it won't affect someone else differently.

(7,670 posts)while drunk. I just don't see it as a total personality change.
The one guy I knew who was an angry drunk got fired from his job for tackling a customer while sober, the customer pissed him off.
