David Zuckerman is a State Senator, a hybrid D/VPP (Vermont Progressive Party). He's an organic farmer and he's been is state government for over 20 years, championing progressive issues.
He's running for Lt. Guv against the Speaker of the Vermont House Shap Smith. Shap is a good guy, responsible for marshalling votes to overturn then Governor Douglas's veto of Marriage equality.
I support David.

(646 posts)I am going to disagree with this one. I will be supporting Kesha Ram. Shap has been a disaster and Zuck is too self idolizing. Matt Dunne for Governor . I agree that we have the best state in the nation.

(114,904 posts)but David has far more relevant experience than Kesha.
I'm not wild about Shap, but I don't see him as a disaster.

(646 posts)with some education issues and have butted heads with Shap and David. They have been zealous ideologues regarding school choice and unwilling to think out of the box regarding public education and choice. I also have very little respect for how the whole lot of them handled act 46. As a retired commercial organic farmer myself, I am certain that we share many commonalities. I am just so disappointed in how the Shumlin admin. has played out. i think we need a lot of new blood.
Peace to you. Where in VT do you live?

I do fear Scott's appeal. And I think he'll easily win over Bunny Milne.
