‘Sovereign citizen’ links being explored in fraud indictment (CO)

... Miller was one of four Colorado men indicted, each of whom faces at least 25 years if convicted of the slew of charges related to alleged schemes to defraud banks and the U.S. government of more than $29 million, according to indictments announced
Wednesday ...

Connections among the four men have not been made public, although prosecutors Thursday did address the relationship between Hutson and Scott, who both adhere to the “sovereign citizen” ideology, according to testimony from FBI Special Agent Alex Zappe, who spoke during bond arguments for the two men, both of whom were in custody.

Members of the sovereign citizen movement generally don’t recognize federal or state government authority, and sometimes refer to themselves as citizens of the “Republic for the United States of America” or the “Continental United States of America,” rather than of the U.S., Zappe said.

That all individuals are sovereign with natural rights and all are equal.. That was the ideal obviously they did not live up to it just as we don't today.

But the ideal is still the same if we would all treat eachother equally and understand that I cannot invade on your rights and you cannot invade on my rights and do the things we know are right and true and good and make all our actions out of love and do away with greed and hate and revenge we wouldnt need governments at all.

Unfortunately human beings are imperfect and it's an imperfect world full of misery and pain and hate and greed. People and governments constantly invading on others rights. Everybody looking out for number one with selfishness and irrational greed.

The so called "sovereign citizen" groups are the same. It is about selfishness as demostrated by these individuals. They use it as a dodge to not obey laws or pay taxes and it is truly despicable.

I do pray for the day that we all treat each other as equals with love and grace and understanding but that day is far away and seems to only get more distant.
