"You know what I think would be good? If Susan Collins was Hillary's vice presidential candidate," Behar said on the show Thursday.
"I'm putting that out there, Susan Collins for vice president. It would be nice. That would bring the country together. That's a bipartisan ticket."
"A Republican from Maine?" asked a co-host.

(35,662 posts)are astoundingly ignorant, which is why I can't watch it.
Collins would put the whole country to sleep. Have you noticed her rate of speech? If a normal person is 250 wpm, Collins is 100.

(130,895 posts)Collins has the same condition as Robert Kennedy, I think, Spasmodic dysphonia. I admire her for her tenacity, tho it is difficult to listen to her.
well, thanks for the input. Didn't know that.

(19,564 posts)We're too polarized, let's not pretend otherwise, ok?
We're not even similar anymore, no matter the blather. The current GOP is a toxic swamp gas spreading hate and intolerance to the masses. I won't condone pretending we are the same.

(51,129 posts)Why not repeat old mistakes? Clinton should pick whoever she thinks would be the best progressive president, someone who agrees with her views and who she can work closely with. Also, someone who can become the next Democrat in the White House, not the next Republican. Joy is off her rocker.

(397 posts)that Susan Collins has Parkinson's Disease. Doesn't that get worse with time? I wonder if that would keep her from doing it anyways. Stupid idea obviously either way though.

(35,619 posts)...if he chose a conservative Democrat for VP?
If not, then she doesn't have much of a case that a bi-partisan ticket would unite the country.
