To say the least.

Gods Not Dead Actor Kevin Sorbo: Jesus Would Vote for Donald Trump
July 1, 2016 by Hemant Mehta 143 Comments
Kevin Sorbo, the Gods Not Dead actor who seems to think the film was a documentary, told TMZ yesterday that Jesus would totally vote for Donald Trump because hes the lesser of two evils.
To his credit, the reporter pointed out that Jesus, who grew up in the Middle East, might not be able to visit America if President Trump has his way with immigration policy. Sorbo dismissed that argument with a knee-jerk, I dont think thats true.
His response was two words too long.

(21,258 posts)I remember he supported bush, McCain and Romney. Doesn't surprise me. I used to think he was hot now I find him repulsive.

(5,303 posts)Kevin Sorbo continues to make the rounds of Religious Right radio programs to promote the the DVD release of his recent film "God's Not Dead." While appearing on Jerry Newcombe's "Vocal Point" radio program recently, Sorbo noted that Mel Gibson had created a lot more opportunities for Christian filmmakers in Hollywood with the success of his film "The Passion of the Christ," which made a lot of money despite concerns from Jewish leaders that the film was anti-Semitic.
Sorbo, for his part, does not really understand what Jews were so upset about.
"He got attacked when he was shooting 'The Passion' from the Jewish community, saying 'look at the way you're portraying us,'" Sorbo said. "News bulletin: you did kill Jesus!"

Especially right-wing kooks like Sorbo.

(38,346 posts)But it's scary too. We live in a world where too many people believe Reality Television (including Fox News) is reality. and that Trump is something more than a Reality Television Clown.

(25,111 posts)Being logical here and I've always been told that Jesus was liberal I would assume it wouldn't be T-rump.

(11,843 posts)If he was an actual person, no way would Trump going to let an undocumented, non English speaking, brown middle easterner into the country. Even if he crept in over a border, he would not be able to obtain ID required to register to vote and Rethug "voter fraud" laws would prevent him from voting.
If we are talking Jesus the literary device, we are going to have to extend the conversation to Superman, Batman, etc. But Jesus the literary character would not vote for Trump, because 1. He's not real and 2. Trump is an ass.

(48,217 posts)He grew up in the town where I went to junior and senior high school, and his father was my eighth grade science teacher. His oldest brother was one of my youngest brother's best friends. His mother got along well with my mother. They seemed like a nice, normal family. I never knew Kevin, the second youngest of five children, because he was like twelve years younger than me. The family was mainstream ELCA Lutheran, i.e. not fundies.
I don't know how he got to be this way, except that he isn't the only person I know during my teen years who has turned into a right-wing nutcase.

But, yeah, Sorbo is especially bad. Which is sad because I loved the Adventures of Hercules series as an adolescent. But it explains why he was such a crappy actor:
You have to have a brain to know the difference from a spoken line and stage direction. [/font]

(20,176 posts)Sorbo is Kirk Cameron level RW Jesus-nutty. He was openly so as far back the Hercules days; I was always horrified in my amusement that people here were fans of his because of the show.
