Australian Comic Who Smacked The NRA Around Just Tore Trump to SHREDS (VIDEO)
In 2014, Australian comedian Jim Jeffries sent the Right into an apoplectic rage after the release of his Netflix comedy special, “Bare.” What could a comic from Australia possibly do that would so aggravate the Stupid Part of America? He hammered the NRA and its vapid and willfully moronic followers so hard that he won an award for it.
“I am all for your Second Amendment rights, I think you should be able to have guns. It’s in your constitution,” Jefferies said, in part, during his routine. “What I am not for is bullsh*t arguments and lies. There is one argument and one argument alone for having a gun and this is the argument: ‘F*ck off, I like guns.’ It’s not the best argument, but it’s all you’ve got.”
Jeffries’ remarks went viral after a right-wing gun enthusiast obsessed with the Illuminati, stormed the campus of Umpqua Community College in Oregon and slaughtered nine people. In his new Netflix special, Freedumb, he revisits his experience since video of his act went viral. Jeffries tells the audience that he still receives between 20 and more than 700 missives (including many death threats) from pissed-off ‘Responsible Gun Owners™’ with nothing better to do than write a comedian to tell him how much they hate his material.
And he’s about to get a lot more after taking on our current national disaster: Donald Trump.
He began by addressing Trump’s stupid, stupid, fan base:
What happens is he says really simple shit that means nothing and then f*cking dummies — If you have ever said this sentence: ‘I like him because he’s a straight talker,’ you’re as dumb as shit. Just because someone says something simple that you understand doesn’t mean they’re a straight talker. You can say something complex and be telling the truth.
