http://newcenturytimes.com/2016/07/07/trumps-son-in-law-gets-destroyed-by-his-own-family-for-defending-trump/Kurshners family wouldnt let him get away with it, blasting him on social media. Here is what one of his cousins, Marc Kushner, had to say to Jared on his Facebook page:
I have a different takeaway from my Grandparents experience in the war. It is is our responsibility as the next generation to speak up against hate. [Sic] Antisemitism or otherwise.
But the response that slammed Jared came from another cousin, Jacob Schulder, who referred to him in Yiddish as a shanda, which means My cousin is a moron. Schulder said:
When an out of touch with reality nominee hires an out of touch with reality campaign manager, who is also a son-in-law, you get the BS Jared wrote. I dont think Trump is an anti-Semite; I think hes a lying idiot (among other things) with little to no experiences outside his teetering fiefdom of failed development projects, divorces, bankrupted sports leagues, fraudulent Universities and golf courses (and the list keeps going). The very first thing a responsible campaign manager should do, Id think, and I mean the very first thing, would be to take away his father-in-laws Twitter account.

Trying to rationalize racism is unacceptable, no matter who says it and Jared Kurshner doesnt seem to understand this fact.

Ouch.
A medium like Twitter, with its 140 character limit, seems like a ridiculously simplistic and unsophisticated way to conduct anything having to do with an undertaking as serious as a presidential campaign.
I remember when Twitter first came about, thinking of the meaning of the first 4 letters, and thinking maybe only twits would Twitter.

(58,785 posts)Otoh, there actually seem to be some real resemblances between son-in-law and father-in-law's backgrounds. Perhaps they're nervous about increased scrutiny.
Gormy Cuss
(30,884 posts)which Kushner certainly is if he ignores his FIL's antisemitic comments and tweets.
These cousins may not be on speaking terms but they certainly are free to shame him over the grandparents' Holocaust experience being use to support a candidate who's said and written some pretty antisemitic things in this campaign.

(1,630 posts)I wouldn't want to be at their house for the holidays. I feel sorry for all the in-laws to the Trumpensteins. Just a small correction to the article which defines the word "shanda". It doesn't mean moron. It means shameful. Which about sums it up.

(8,379 posts)I think this campaign could be the undoing of the close knit Trump clan. ivanka is going to stay loyal to her husband and he is going to come to his senses once this whole fraudulent campaign is over.
