Three days, three live videos of persons being shot to death

Where are we heading?

I don't remember a time when the images of death have been so immediate, so graphic and come so often in our media.

First, Alton Sterling's death was captured from two cellphones and released soon after his killing. Then we watched, live, in agony as Philando Castile to his dying laborious breathes.

Tonight, with cameras rolling from every angle, we witnessed cops on the ground. Three reported dead, 7 others shot.

Last summer was intense and this year seems to have picked right up.

What can we do to deescalate?

Right wingers are doing their very best to fan the fires of hate.
Police are murdering citizens left and right with impunity.

REAL accountability when cops mess up would be a start towards deescalating this mess.
