George W. Bush Says Something Appalling In Response To Dallas Shooting

http://news.groopspeak.com/george-w-bush-says-something-appalling-in-response-to-dallas-shooting/

George W. and Laura Bush live in Dallas and thus have a close, personal connection to the horrific attacks that occurred last night which left five law enforcement officers dead and seven others wounded.

Bush released a statement this morning which, at first glance, looks pretty standard and innocuous. The former President and First Lady are “heartbroken by the heinous acts of violence. They “have seen firsthand the dedication, professionalism, and courage of the Dallas Police Department,” and of course they “pray for the wounded officers to recover fully and quickly.”

But here’s the phrase that caught my eye:
Murdering the innocent is always evil, never more so than when the lives taken belong to those who protect our families and communities.

In other words, “police lives matter more.”

There's plenty more stuff to be upset about today than anything Bush said. And there's plenty more that Bush said or did that's more upsetting than this.

This registers a .00000000001 on my 1 to 10 "give a shit" meter.

That's how rich men think, the cops are there to protect them, not us.

They think we're fair game. All of us. To matter to them, we'd have to be rich.

First by Cheney in his VP search, then by all George the First's leftover neocons who were distraught over not taking out Saddam in Iraq War 1.

Much like Truman got sucked into supporting the French in Indochina and Eisenhower got sucked into overthrowing the government of Iran and installing the Shah.

Being killed by a cop while doing nothing wrong is also ironic. But he wasnt responding to that.

Lots of reasons to despise Bush. This seems rather nitpicky.
