Protesters blocking I-40 bridge----Memphis TN

Breaking news in Memphis. Black Lives Matter protesters or on the I-40 bridge over the Mississippi River.

Watching local new coverage. Very peaceful. Police tried to stop them from getting on the bridge but the protesters just went around the cars. They have been on the bridge about 45 minutes.

Still peaceful. Some people are leaving the bridge now. Traffic is stopped in both directions.

The protestors surrounded the police station for an hour, some marched a mile and blocked an important secondary highway during rush hour, then marched through a major shopping mall. Relatively small with around a hundred protestors...l peaceful and didn't make the national news...

They were protesting last month's police killing of a young black man suffering depression shot while sitting in his car in a park.
