steve kornacki just gleefully put up the latest numbers (from the Washington Post, I believe....came in during the segment), and Hillary's unfavorable are up to 56%, following the email bullshit story.
funny that he didn't mention Trump's unfavorable, which have reached as high as 70 percent in many polls. this was ALL about Hillary, except the clips from today's trump rant, in which Kornacki showed trump calling her a liar, a scam artist, incompetent, unfit, etc.
he only showed the bad numbers (in several categories,) and how badly it's hurting her. he did show a clip of her saying that when all the stories about you are scurrilous (my word...she should've used it), it doesn't matter if they're true or not, the repetitions makes the reality.
not ONE word of the actual facts surrounding the story, only stuff like THIRTY ONE percent of dems even think she should have been prosecuted!
Nice job, once again, Steve. have you passed your Fox audition yet? you sure are getting their idea of Fair and Balanced down to a T.
that's what a great job the media has done so far in toeing the right wing line. I followed it closely and watched as almost ALL the commentators, left and right, got the story wrong, and the very few defenders got short shrift at the end of the day, to boot. dems really fucked up on this by not solidly defending her and decrying the media fools, just as trump has gotten away with.
when are they going to learn?

(28,795 posts)demonstrations NEVER help dems
ever, no matter who's doing it, who's crunching heads. the media are in charge of what we see.
remember the Iraq war demonstrations? I marched in several cities, including DC the day the invasion happened, in the same ranks with Daniel Ellsberg, and NOBODY saw it. if it's not on TV, it didn't happen, so almost NO coverage for the massive demonstrations all over the WORLD
the convention in 68 absolutely cost Humphrey the election, that and the original October Surprise, which didn't see the light of day for DECADES.
wonder why.....

that's why I wrote the post to which you responded
you just watch. Trump is going to lurch ahead in the polls, very quickly, I'm afraid, but they've done their job, and the sheep are splatting all over their couches in deadly fear of.....whatever the tube feeds them
I hope I'm wrong, but I wasn't in 68 or 04 or 80...I was there to see the hostages arrive in DC that day, thanks to the October Surprise that most people think of when they hear that phrase. and in 88, as soon as the rape/murder question happened to the Duke, I knew it was over for him. willie Horton weakened him, and that jagoff CNN "reporter" stuck the knife all the way through his rib cage.
think it's time for a break....

(108,978 posts)If the last thing voters see is Chicago convention '68 style fights between protesters and police . . . we're in trouble.

(28,795 posts)Pugs will do ANYthing, but I won't be surprised if some idiots from not the pugs start demo-ing just like they did in Chicago. the template is forming
hope they're not that stupid

(28,795 posts)as of late.
Poor Joe forgot to mention Trump, as the the first part of the question dealt with trump's assertion of lawnorder and compassion, OR the media hatchet job on his boss and Hillary
get some STONES dems. do what the pugs do. find a script and stick the fuck TO it. you don't have to answer the questions. the pugs never do. whenever the question is over, their by rote recitation of talking points begins. how long does it take to figure out this simple practice. do they even WATCH the shows? all it takes is a few hours of watching to see that the pugs all say the same crap (often word for word, ala Corey Lewandowski), over and over and over, all day and all night.
THAT's why Hillary's numbers are going south, for now
WISE UP! hire ME!

(32,609 posts)was a lie. He apparently doesn't understand the spoken word as he got everything Comey said completely wrong.
Then Lester H. did an interview with Hillary and he clearly didn't understand what Comey said either.
The entire MSNBC news bureau is a fact free zone.

(28,795 posts)at least did a post on it, with a picture of the pod from Body Snatchers, cause I wondered what happened to him.
I'm guessing that his contract is up soon, and they gave him the word from on high that he better lean right, or perhaps he really IS auditioning for Fox. he sure looks comfy there
NOW they're playing trump, and I'll bet they'll just let it lie there, and show how bad it's hurting HRC
NOW it's the snarling Christie
Tim Kaine coming up. what a wimp. I'll bet he does a horrible job of going on the attack on the Insane Party, and is on the defensive the whole time. hope I'm wrong, but, watch the first 15 seconds of this....the rest is great, too:

Now, the questioner hits him with question: is the cake baked on the Hillary distrust problem,
and he HITS BACK! somebody is ready, for a change. he's actually doing pretty well in the face of tough questions. too bad they don't axe the same roughies to the pugs, instead of the usual softballs, like, Mr. Trump is your wife as glamorous as Jackie Kennedy was?

they really are totally immune to any sort of factual observance of the world as it is, and live in their own imaginary reality

(28,795 posts)saying almost the same thing in 68
talking about how it won't be a good idea for Hillary to compete against trump in lawnorder standing
trump has not gone full George Wallace on this, says Heileman, then continuing that Nixon WON, largely on the strength of white fear.
Halperin says: How will Hillary respond; she hasn't yet
how about this: he's a lying, duplicitous, hypocritical narcissist, who will do or SAY anything to get elected. how's that for a start?
this is going exactly the way I thought it would: MSM falling in lockstep (should I say goose step?) with the trump campaign, leading the sheep into the pen, ready for hammer
Gabi Hayes
(28,795 posts)paying attention?
you MUST have quotable, clippable utterances EVERY SINGLY DAY. don't you know how to play the neurolinguistic game? you should. get a meme, preferably about how crazed/unstable/mendacious trump is, and JACK it into EVERY conversation that any of your spokespersons have on the air.
Hillary, of ALL people, you should realize that that's how you got where you are in the court of public opinion. you were SHOWN to have said this today on msnbc, from your vox interview
jesus....take the frickin GLOVES off!
trump is CRAZY! trump is the biggest liar that ever lived! trump is a tax cheat! trump is an accused RAPIST!

plus, they're really lazy. why do you think they just allow trump spewage to go out there unquestioned. for a brief moment they fact check, even in real time, occasionally.
that is NOT happening anymore
not ONE word about the crap out of Christie and trump's mouths today. all accepted without caveat, with one or two mild exceptions on WADR, of all places

(28,795 posts)speaking of Ed, trump's creepy mendacity knows no bounds, geographically, or any other kind:
Donald Trump boasts that he elevated real-estate dealmaking to an art form. But in 2008, there was one transaction that he just couldn't seem to close.
Like some of Trump's other charitable pledges, this one generated an avalanche of publicity, only to mire in confusion and delay once the TV cameras moved on. Trump negotiated for months over the property without striking a deal, with McMahon and his family in limbo. Then another deep-pocketed investor stepped in and resolved McMahon's predicament with no fanfare.
Trump still chalks up the McMahon deal as a win, according to Michael Cohen, his special counsel.
The sole purpose of this transaction was to ensure that Ed McMahon, who Mr. Trump admired greatly, would remain in his home while dealing with his significant health issues, Cohen said in an e-mail. Mr. Trump accomplished the task and was thanked by both Ed and his family for his assistance. (Attempts to reach McMahon's widow, Pam McMahon, were unsuccessful.)
so much for the greatest negotiator in history,....somebody ELSE paid the cash, you lying asslick, Cohen. how do you LIVE with yourself?

(28,795 posts)this, from a question about why Trump has such a dearth of policy positions that a normal candidate posts as a matter of course
Stewart Stevens says that,
if you get trump away from a teleprompter, he can't put together five coherent sentences....this from Romney's campaign manager, and former close Bush adviser/confidante
this would be enjoyable, if not for the mass unrest, all of which plays totally into the hands of whatever fascists happen to be on the scene.
we happen to have a big one; a gigantic, bellowing, bullrut elephant in the room, who just ride all that straight to 1600 PA Ave.
