An Open Heart

"With an open heart, we can abandon the overheated rhetoric and the oversimplification that reduces whole categories of our fellow Americans, not just opponents, but to enemies."

He wasn't just talking about race relations. We cheer his words and then dismiss his message. Sad.

It seems very few took notice of his words. And things will never improve or move forward if we don't.

I thought the speech was one of the President's best ever, but I'm betting both sides will go back to the hate while their hands are still red from applauding his words.

By addressing the political divide in this same manner.

Probably won't work but I'd love to hear the speech.
