Just when you think they can't get any more absurd. This is not a reality show, this is the Presidency!

Can you imagine writing a novel in which a Presidential campaign claims that speech content was plagiarized from My Little Pony, rather than admit that it was plagiarized from an African-American woman and a Democrat?
It would be considered too far out to be published.

There are still almost four months remaining for things to become even stranger.

This is apart from the weird move of defending the plagiarism by claiming it was actually simply childish platitudes!

GOP: "Melania's speech was amazing! Awesome! It was from the heart! It's incredible! She knocked it out of the park!"
Everybody: "Well, this part is obviously plagiarized."
GOP: "The words are banal platitudes! Everybody says them. They're very common. They hardly have any meaning at all!"

What the fuck?

The Trump people are fucking clowns.

In some oak-paneled clubroom, two elderly men are saying "I bet you a bottle of '67 port you can't get CNN to write about My Little Pony in their political coverage today!".
