RNC sources: @tedcruz "speech different than version he gave RNC in advance." Officials + Cruz had to be physically separated after. #GOP

They must be so gutted with the convention.

(34,137 posts)On April 6, 2010, MSNBC announced that it had suspended David Shuster for an "indefinite period" after the network learned from press reports that Shuster, and Michel Martin of National Public Radio, had taped a pilot episode for a new show on CNN without the formal approval of MSNBC.

He ended up working for Current TV and Al Jazeera America. I'm not sure what he's done since Al Jazeera America shut down.
He was great with Tameron Hall afternoons on MSNBC. This interview in particular was a thing of beauty!

(1,306 posts)Do the Texas republican/conservatives like Trump, or do they
politely abhor him ? I would bet the wealthy ones think he's
just awesome, but the evangelical nut-jobbers hate him.

(3,702 posts)I gave the principal and administration one version..the standard blah blah
Then I started with "When I look out at the sea of faces...I don't just see classmates. I see future doctors, lawyers, jailbirds. I see teachers, nurses and druggies". It went downhill from there.
Some teachers went bright red, some completely pale...ahhh it was a beautiful thing. My younger cousins kept asking my grandparents to play "the funny speech that got Nadine in trouble"
Of course Cruz would steal my schtick

(18,837 posts)Congratulated Trump for winning the nomination in his opening remarks and never...said...his...name...again after that.
As many pundits have already astutely pointed out, this accomplished two purposes:
1). Cruz planting the seeds for a 2020 run, and
2). Payback for the remarks Trump made during the Primaries regarding Cruz, his wife, and his father.

(1,122 posts)This may not be a problem, in the future, for Texas U.S. Senator Ted Cruz.
But, personally, I actually don't care about his future or Anything Ted Cruz.
He never stood a chance at the presidency because, quite frankly, people find him repulsive. (He carried only 11 states in the Republican presidential primaries and lost in areas with demographics he should have won.)
If electing the closest image of Satan are voters' mission for electing a president of the United States
okay, then, Ted Cruz would have been elected, here in 2016, to become the 45th president of the United States.

(65,616 posts)After all these decades of Cruz Sr. prepping Baby Cruz for his role in bringing Jesus back to earth. It must be killing Cruz inside, hurting his yuuuuuge ego in ways nobody has ever hurt it before.
It would be one thing to lose to an elder politician, Trump is none of that.
