It appears that Trump does, indeed, intend to outsource the presidency

I base that assertion on two reports of his approach to potential veeps. Parts of conversations with the Kasich and Pence camps have become known in recent days. The more complete tale is from someone in the Kasich camp, but similar rumors are coming from Pence's people.

It seems Don Sr. sent the equally oily Don Jr. (why do Godfather images keep popping up in my mind??) to pitch to Kasich the idea that he wanted a veep who would head up all domestic and foreign operations while The Don would be in charge of "branding" and making America great.

We may find out at some point what really got said, but I tend to believe Kasich's camp's account of things.

There is always the chance that Newt or Christie, or both, will let it out, too.

If there is any truth to any of this, it REALLY ought to disqualify the guy.

That's the reason they have cabinets. If Presidents had to make every foreign policy and domestic decision then very little would get done.

That isn't the same as hiring department heads (cabinet members) who are all accountable to the President.

was the case. Kasich not endorsing him, not coming to the convention, Trumps capos trashing the governor publicly, saying that Ohio isn't that crucial.

We all know that Ohio is important, no republican ever has won the presidency without carrying Ohio. They didn't pick Cleveland as a site for their carnival for nothing. Trump just wants to be Queen Elizabeth while some stooge does all the heavy lifting.

Thom Hartmann remarked on this in a recent video, comparing it to Britain where the Queen is a figurehead and the real power rests with a Prime Minister. In recent Republican administrations, the president has been mostly a figurehead, providing the sound bytes and photo ops that feed our media, while the vice president runs things behind the scene.

Think of Ronald Reagan, who mostly slept through two terms, while George HW Bush and the CIA ran the Contra war in South America and the mujahideen in Afghanistan (Who would later become the Taliban), all funded by smuggled cocaine.

Also, of course, there was George W and Dick Cheney. Dubya strutted around in a flight suit, under a 'mission accomplished' sign while Cheney, who had lied us into war, planned its continuation into the indefinite future.

A Pence presidency is a Koch brothers presidency. My bet is they will start pouring money into the trump campaign.

Please. We have a rather long history of discrimination in this country including the largest mass lynching in America. Teddy Roosevelt called it a good thing.

So just knock that shit off please. It is unnecessary and not appreciated.

Despite his severe narcissism, he (or at least his son Don Jr.) understands that he's in WAY over his head. I'm glad at least one person has a tiny grip on reality.
