"Millions of Democrats will join our movement..."

We are going to build a great border wall to stop illegal immigration

The wall. Again. Lots of your Democrats just dropped away.

I have proposed the largest tax reduction of any candidate who has run for the president this year – Democrat or Republican.

Whoops. You lost more, because Democrats are smart enough to know that you mean tax reduction on the rich, and Democrats know how destructive that is.

Our steelworkers and our miners are going back to work again.

So, lots and lots of coal burning? Trump Coal? Damn the environment, full speed ahead? Yeah, I'd say you lost most of the few Democrats left here. And a big load of independents, too.

We will rescue kids from failing schools by helping their parents send them to a safe school of their choice.

Riiiiiight, because Democrats will line up to vote for what Trump really means - burning funds that could be used to improve our schools to give money for students to go to fundamentalist schools where they will become the American Wahhabists.

We will repeal and replace disastrous Obamacare.

Surely only a few Democrats left now.

We will completely rebuild our depleted military

Translation: massive military spending increases while tax cutting? Surely all Democrats are gone now.

The replacement of our beloved Justice Scalia will be a person of similar views and principles and judicial philosophies. Very important. This will be one of the most important issues decided by this election.

If this doesn't drive every single Democrat into feeling good about voting for Hillary against this blowhard, I don't know what will.

I, on the other hand, received the early and strong endorsement of the National Rifle Association

Enthusiasm for anyone but Trump continuing to rise.

An amendment, pushed by Lyndon Johnson, many years ago, threatens religious institutions with a loss of their tax-exempt status if they openly advocate their political views. Their voice has been taken away. I am going to work very hard to repeal that language and to protect free speech for all Americans.

If Thomas Jefferson was still alive, Trump would call him Evil Tom.

So here's the thing. I don't have to ask Bernie supporters to vote for Hillary. I don't have to ask Bernie supporters to unite the Democratic Party against Trump. Bernie supporters are far too smart to ever vote for this man or to vote in such a fashion as to get this man elected. I have faith in my fellow Democrats to unite against a pro-NRA, pro-Scalia, pro-coal, anti-Jefferson, anti-environment, anti-schools, racist, arrogant, narcissistic, lying waste of DNA.

Many of Bernie's supporters have already declared for Hillary. For the rest: listen to Trump. And then we will welcome you with open arms. We need you. We love you. We know your passion and energy will help save America from the worst madman to ever gain a major party nomination.

"Riiiiiight, because Democrats will line up to vote for what Trump really means - burning funds that could be used to improve our schools to give money for students to go to fundamentalist schools where they will become the American Wahhabists." is rarely mentioned but your take is completely correct.

Fuck public education is what they are actually saying. The GREAT potential leveler of the field needs immediate destruction in favor of charter schools owned and run by the private sector who is raping the taxpayers via vouchers. MFers.

Both Hillary and Bernie tried to make that point, and it doesn't generally go over well in the aptly named Rust Belt.

Trump's lying is much more palatable.

...Air Force officer. In a monthly magazine he gets regarding military issues, there was an item about the military wanting to close about 30% of its bases. If they think they can function with 2/3 of what they have now, perhaps they are not all that depleted.

There are bases across the country that the military has been trying to shut down for decades. However, the congress critters would never allow that to happen in one of their districts. This is a D & R problem that I wish would get addressed in the future.

On the other hand, the Air Forces has been trying to kill the A-10 since the early 90's and thankfully congress has slapped the airfield with a cease and desist on that issue. So sometimes it's hard to figure out what the military wants or wants to get rid of vs what's actually good to get/get rid of.

I hear Repub blowhards use this notion all the time as some kind of "truth" but never any specifics.

I hear it in Jim Inhofe's voice, but you can pick whichever self-righteous arrogant bastard you prefer -- it goes something like: "After what Obama's done to our military, we need a strong conservative leader."

What, exactly, has Obama supposedly done? I never got the memo.

Is our military smaller in headcount? It certainly doesn't seem smaller in dollars. What are the Republicans talking about?

Only outspends 17 of the next 18 nations by 3 times.

Remember the military is the Republicans version of welfare, not the soldiers, fuck those guys they can get food stamps....rather the Military Industrial Complex, the REAL albatross around our government.

... and yesterday from Hannity, how the military has been decimated. I think Inhofe also dropped how things have going wrong "for the last seven and a half years," exactly how long Obama has been in office, of course, as if the Dubya years were some sort of golden age. What a tool. And Repubs just spout this stuff like it's gospel, like " oh, everyone knows this is true" and I never hear a reporter call them on it or ask for evidence to back up their claims.

"The incorporation of the volkisch (Nazi) ideology into a party in the form of NSDAP is the only way to victory” - Mein Kampf

Basically, what has to happen for fascism to really take place is they HAVE TO use (at least initially) SOME egalitarian principles. Especially if the economy is wrecked. Ours is NOT wrecked, but they pound the idea that it is and we're desperate. The leader will fix it all, give us jobs, bread, and circuses, making America great again. In the early days of NSDAP they made no ground in the Reichstag elections. It was only after Hitler broadened his scope to appeal to more people did he finally break through.

We are in the early stages of National Socialism.

It CAN BE averted and thus it's why I believe a vote for Hillary Clinton is an absolute necessity.
