On the same day as his coronation as the Republican Party’s nominee for 2016, Donald Trump just got slapped with a fine for treating his workers like shit.
As punishment for retaliating against his workers at the Las Vegas hotel he owns with Phil Ruffin because they joined the culinary union, Trump must pay $11,200, the amount agreed upon with the National Labor Relations Board.
That’s right, Donald “I never settle” Trump actually tucked his tail between his legs and agreed to pay up though under the settlement he refused to acknowledge that he broke federal laws, even though that’s exactly what he did by firing one worker and denying another a promotion simply because they joined the Culinary Workers Union and urged their fellow workers to join them....
“I don’t settle cases,” Trump declared via phone call. “You know what happens? When you start settling lawsuits, everybody sues you. I don’t get sued because I don’t settle cases. I win in court.”
