DNC email leak, Sanders die-hards threaten Clinton's effort to unify in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — Tonight is opening night for the Democratic National Convention, and this performance already has plenty of drama.

The party chair, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, announced her resignation on the eve of the convention after an embarrassing email leak reinforced suspicions that party insiders tipped the presidential primary process in Hillary Clinton’s favor.

Meanwhile, many delegates are chafing at compromises over party rules and the policy platform, while die-hard Bernie Sanders supporters are preparing to go rogue.

They’re planning “nonviolent” protests on the floor of the convention, regardless of whether the Vermont senator backs them up.

They'd screw up a 2 car funeral because they're indignant about the color shirt the deceased wears, or something similar.

But why not be a grown up party and acknowledge them as having some valid concerns where they exist (ie an impartial DNC)? The relentless defense of the DNC's behavior is silly when people have legitimate concerns about the fairness of the process they were very invested in.

They wouldn't have all this trouble if they had followed the neutral rule, or hadn't insulted DNC donors too.
