They've given him billions in free advertising.
Why would the media start doing their job now?

(38,455 posts)Names???
How about John Edwards..for screwing around..(of course it was the right thing to do)
Past Democratic Candidate Dukakis for riding around in a tank..(wrong thing to do)
etc...etc...you name some more...
The media obviously should destroy Trump for this.
As another thread points out lots of people are looking up the definition of......."treason"

(38,455 posts)Arnold and Donald are birds of the same feather...They are the same..Of course, most Benedict Arnold followers would not agree to be in the same room as "lock him up Donald"..that room stinks too much for them..

(26,511 posts)would've ended as soon as it began if these either; a) complicit or b) scared shitless (of this douche nozzle), assholes would've done their jobs. The contempt I have for these pieces of shit is beyond words. They elevated this flaccid sack of shit to where he is now.

(38,455 posts)All people that follow politics on all sides know it. "Russia, help us win the election by doing this with the emails"
Those who have any sense of decency will not forget this one.. Maybe 5 to 7 percent of the Republicans that would have voted for him for any set of stupid Trump statements...will not vote for him now.
They may not go to the polls, or vote for an independent, or even vote for Hillary. Nothing he can say will overcome the lack of judgment that his statement showed. And those Republicans that feel this way will never vote for Trump.
and that 5 to 7 percent almost insure Hillary's election. He will never get them back..

(3,790 posts)The media and his ignorant supporters think he was joking and that "thin skinned liberals" can't take a joke.
I also think he could call Hillary the C word and get a free pass.

(17,199 posts)MALCOLM NANCE: To be quite honest, I am really stumped. I mean, this is unprecedented what happened today. I don't believe ever in the history of the United States has a presidential candidate, or anyone in the United States government, ever advocated for a hostile foreign intelligence agency to actually infiltrate or release data that they have stolen -- potentially stolen from a U.S. citizen or a U.S. government facility or server.
And then, to marry that up with the leaks that have happened this week so that they can get information out in a blatantly obvious political warfare/cyber operation that's occurring in the United States. It is Watergate with a cyber twist, as run by the Russian intelligence services. I really just cannot believe that any of this is happening.

(23,603 posts)I don't think the Cold War mentality is too strong. Personally, I want the US to maintain reasonably friendly relations with Russia. I might not politically agree with Putin - I also don't think Russia is an enemy of mine.

(24,775 posts)You might not think Russia is an enemy, but Russia under Putin seems to think America is his enemy--and it has nothing to do with any old Cold War mentality. Putin is hellbent on destabilizing the West, even if it means sabotaging elections and installing puppet dictators who'll look the other way while he bulldozes his way across Europe.
