She's an adult and should not be intimidated by hecklers. It's overkill but surely our candidate has enough class to let a little booing roll off of her back as Obama has.

If they try to stifle it, the optics are that we have a thin skinned candidate in a position that demands they be criticized and deal with it with class.

I would like to hear every word Hillary has to say in the style she wants to say it unaffected by interruptions. This is the conclusion of a long, long process culminating in her being selected to be the Democratic Party's nominee to be President of the United States. WE DESERVE to hear her speech, in it's entirety, without distraction.

Not only is it obnoxiously authoritarian, it's a juvenile response to immature behavior. Grown ups can handle it. What was the response to W's unwillingness to tolerate criticism and roping off 1st amendment zones? I said he was acting like a narcissitic child.

was obnoxiously authoritarian? Pray tell, how do grownups handle such disruptions? Do they give such troublemakers a pass and listen as best they can to the speaker, the movie, or whatever else they came to see?

I have nothing against protest signs, but obnoxious noisemakers piss me off, no matter where I happen to be when I encounter them.

In this contex, athoritarian adults wish they could. Since that is a bad idea they just call for unconditional loyalty. The kind republicans have demanded to thwart Obama. Hillary Clinton is not a 4th grader who needs to be protected from hecklers by the teacher because it might hurt her feelings. I don't understand the opposition to acting like grown ups when confronted.

What was your opinion of Bush's refusal to hear criticism?

nor have I ever wanted to. But that's beside the point.

The point is that these obnoxious rabblerousers are tossing a wet blanket on what otherwise would be a joyful, empowering experience for many convention-goers. Hillary probably expected a lot of it and by now is way past having her feelings hurt by such goings on. But it's not Hillary I'm thinking of when it comes to the rabblerousing. I'm thinking of those at the convention and those of us at home watching it on TV who are trying to hear and enjoy the speakers without a bunch of narcissistic a-holes trying to ruin the convention for everyone else.

have their way because it was OK when hecklers disrespected the first black president, so it is fine to treat the first woman president with the same disdain. Is that how you think the next 6 years are going to play out?

No, we care! Never again will we let a rude, obnoxious opposition have free will to trash our president virtually unopposed and without consequences for 8 years. That stops now! Today! Nevermore will we be silent and let someone else redefine us and treat women and people of color like second class citizens.

I supported Bernie in the primaries, but that is because I am an actual, genuine Socialist (and I am honestly shocked that Bernie did as well as he did). A lot of these Bernie-or-Bust morons are essentially the same people who follow every popular anti-establishment flavor of the month. The blue collar ones will go for the Talking Yam while the college-educated ones will vote for Jill Stein or Gary Johnson.

to the rude ass holes attending the convention:

Chant between speakers, carry placards, vote your conscience, let your voices be heard .... but know this: the politicians and speakers you disrupt and attempt to shout down are tough, they have experienced this before, they will go on ....

The people you are ruining this for are people that worked just as hard as you, people that put their faith in their candidate, for some people this is a once in a lifetime experience .... those are the people you are ruining this for .... these are the people that you are not allowing to be heard. Your voice and opinions are no more important than theirs .... yet you feel entitled to shut theirs down?

I am sorry your candidate / position did not win the election ... I understand being unhappy about this ... I have no problem with the expression of anger and disappointment.... PROTEST, it is your right (I have been there and done that) .... however, your rights do not over-ride the rights of others .... its not a brawl to see who can be the loudest, the rudest, the most disruptive.

Your voice is very important .... but it is not more important than anyone elses.

For EVERYONE this is a once in a lifetime experience! We will never again have the first woman presidential candidate accept her party's nomination. We are making HISTORY tonight and it is likely to be marred by some people who are so self-absorbed that they don't realise there are probably 80-year old women in that audience who've been waiting for this moment THEIR WHOLE LIVES.

presume to speak for all of us. BERNIE speaks for us - he did EXACTLY what he said he'd do, including reshape the platform quite substantially and exacting changes within DNC for the future AND will continue to fight for us and keep the momentum going. Totally mystifies why these people are bailing out (essentially) - not recognizing success when its staring them right in the face.

Of all the things to protest about - THIS AINT IT.
