On edit:
The following is satire:
********************************************
Another few days like the last seven and The Donald's heading for the door. But since he hates losers (and quitters are, if nothing else, losers by his evaluation), he'll need an excuse.
I hereby propose that we, at Democratic Underground, patriotically propose a series of excuses so that the Trumpster will be spared the time and trouble of making one up.
My initial suggestions:
--If I become part of the system, I'll will lose my effectiveness as an agent for actual change in this country.
--Putting my company in trust would be like breathing without lungs.
--Who would want to be called Mr. President when you're already called Mr. Trump?
--Air Force One is not elegant enough.
--Who wants to have to pronounce "Uzbekistan"?
--I can't expect to be on currency until after I'm long dead.
--It's easier to j*rk *ff without the Secret Service lurking around.
Let's brainstorm this and show Mr. Trump out the huge, beautiful door!

(135,425 posts)He is a DREAM candidate--he sucks so bad that GOP leaders won't vote for him.
We don't want him replaced with anyone who can be deemed "reasonable."
Leave him where he can do the most good--imploding as he runs for POTUS.

(21,946 posts)and a loser for the losers to vote for.
As terrible as the risk could be if he actually won due to some miracle turnaround, Donald Trump is the gift that keeps on giving for Democrats. We don't want him out of the race.

(3,660 posts)There's still time to nominate a backup, get his name on almost all ballots, and run a sensible campaign with a nominee who's not a pathological liar, narcissist, bully and apoplectic. Trump is the greatest electoral gift the sane party has ever been given in US politics. Why the hell would we want to help the GOP correct their stupidly self-inflicted electoral suicide?

Imagine this as a Jon Stewart bit in which you're invited to write jokes. I.e., things Trump would never say but which are, with any luck, funny.
