This was a partisan primary with a relative unknown challenging Ryan.

That said, Ryan's district is so ridiculously gerrymandered that even if his home town of Janesville doesn't vote for him, he won't lose. He almost can't. The guy who ran against him was the most vile, super right wing tea bagger, even worse than Ryan. Ryan will be gone when the gerrymanders are remedied.

Wisconsin is set up under Walker so that Republicans pick their voters, not the other way around...for now.
