with "that would be a horrible day, folks"? If so where can I find testament to that and why is it not being reported via MSM? Thank you for your help.

(116 posts)Because, why would it be a horrible day for him if he won.
It would only be horrible if what they did was something else that a second amendment person would do.

(19,357 posts)You'll see he had made a dark suggestion because he undercut it twice with "I doono" and then the "horrible day" comment.
In effect he is making the darkest suggestion and then disavowing his involvement in it. It's the same thing as wehne he say "I doon. That's what I' hearing," and such.
The entire statement, its logic (clearly referring to after she's elected), and the two distancing statements show clearly he meant exactly what we all heard and what the man in the background laughs at.

(19,357 posts)Then he drops his turd of a statement, makes two distancing remarks, then turns around and digs the knife in!
That's rhetoric with an edge.
Thanks.

(182,788 posts)(CROWD BOOING) If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is. I dont know. But but Ill tell you what. That will be a horrible day. If if Hillary gets to put her judges right now, were tied. You see whats going on.
XXX you see whats going on? We tied because Scalia this was not suppose to happen. Justice Scalia was going to be around for ten more years at least and this is what happens. That was a horrible thing.
So now look at it. So Hillary essentially wants to abolish the Second Amendment. Now, speaking to the NRA folks who are great when you when you and Ill tell you, they endorsed me.
(APPLAUSE)
They endorsed me very early. My sons a member. Im a member.
If you we can add I think the National Rifle Association, we can add the Second Amendment to the Justices they almost go in a certain way, hand in hand. Now the Justices are going to do things that are so important and we have such great Justices, you saw my list of 11 that have been vetted and respected.
(APPLAUSE)
And have gotten great. And they to a little equate but if you dont do the right thing, either youre not going to have a Second Amendment or youre not going to have much of it left. And youre not going to be able to protect yourself, which you need.

(12,154 posts)along with all of Drumpf's other masterpieces of rhetoric!
He got his point across to his minions, though. Looks like the FBI and Secret Service will continue to have their work cut out for them protecting the Democratic president.
I had to read through the whole thing. For my next trick in going to step on a rake.

(7,768 posts)There is a important, distinctive difference between "would" and "will". (auxilliary verbs)
Would: Used to express contingency or possibility.
Will: Used to express determination, insistence, or persistence.

(3,702 posts)Trump said, "Nothing you can do folks"
Some audience shouts are then heard
Trump then says, "Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I dont know.
Was he reacting to what he heard from the audience?
I'd certainly like to know what was shouted out from the audience.
It might clarify that Trump was reflecting (encouraging) the continuance of the trump-pets' "kill her" meme.

(14,853 posts)Trump would not call it a "horrible day" if gun nuts stopped 2nd Amendment regulations through legal means. He was clearly implying that it would be "horrible" if gun nuts assassinated her.
The MSM? They're often cowards and downright stupid.
I still remember Katie Couric (on some morning show) repeatedly asking people if the second plane crash into a WTC building could have been another accident. Peter Jennings (may he rest in peace) also made some dumb remarks that day. In addition to being stressed by the attacks, some of the commentary that I heard that day made me strongly question the intelligence of some of our reporters.
I assume that someone like Jon Stewart would pounce upon and stay focused on the "horrible day" part of Trump's remarks.

(17,303 posts)refers to Hillary picking SC judges. Even though "horrible day" precedes Drumpf making referee to Clinton's appointees to the court, Drumpf is a disjointed speaker.
