Democrats see chance at winning the House

“Hillary Clinton is trouncing Donald Trump in several swing House districts, Democratic Party officials say in a new memo obtained by Politico that touts the party’s down-ballot prospects in November but does not predict they’ll capture the chamber.”

“The memo, which comes 90 days out from the election, says that Democrats intend to hitch their House opponents to Trump at every turn and misstep.”

that pessimissm is the best outlook as you are inevitably either proven right or pleasantly surprised.

FWIW my best guess is +12 give or take. Nice pickup but not enough

4. I'm with you. Going to take the SCOTUS reversing gerrymandered districts and the 2020 census.

We might be able to take it back in 2022. People had better get off their dead asses and vote in the 2018 mid-terms too.

Democrats need to unite and stay on point and push for a progressive/liberal and sane nation.

... I can say that for sure.

We have another thing going for us, too, which is that absenteeism in the House has traditionally been higher among Republicans than Democrats. If we can cut the margin to within just ten votes or so, Republican House Members are going to be dramatically inconvenienced by having to constantly show up and do their jobs. Every day, Speaker Ryan and the whips will be tearing their hair out over whether or not they have enough votes to prevent Democrats from hijacking business on the floor.

And should we win it, even by only one or two votes on the first day that Congress convenes in January, I predict a mass-exodus of Republican Members after Congress reconvenes, as many will understand that they serve only thanks to the fact that the investigative power of Congress does not focus on Republican criminals when they are in total control. I think that a one-vote advantage on day one will translate to a 25-vote advantage by February.
