by Josh Feldman | 2:47 pm, August 10th, 2016
CNN is reporting this afternoon that the Secret Service confirmed they have spoken with Donald Trump about his 2nd amendment people comments from yesterday that many took as an implied threat ...
CNNs Jim Sciutto reported there were multiple conversations about this.

I just watched the report. CNN commentator said the Secret Service was concerned about Trump's followers, that a deranged supporter might act on his words.

The FBI has already been contacted after Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump called for violence against Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton
The super PAC Democratic Coalition Against Trump has already contacted the FBI:
The Democratic Coalition Against Trump today reached out to high-level contacts in the Washington, D.C. field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to voice concerns about Donald Trumps call for violence against Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, and to argue that Trump should be arrested for attempting to incite political violence.
.
The Democratic Coalition Against Trump immediately reached out to senior officials from the FBI to raise alarms about this call to violence, and to demand that Trump face felony charges under 18 U.S.C. § 879 for making these threats.

(17,199 posts)Trump claims he is the law and order candidate but he just violated a federal law that could put him behind bars until after Hillary finishes her first term as president. ...
Whoever knowingly and willfully threatens to kill, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm upon
(1) a former President or a member of the immediate family of a former President;
(2) a member of the immediate family of the President, the President-elect, the Vice President, or the Vice President-elect;
(3) a major candidate for the office of President or Vice President, or a member of the immediate family of such candidate; or
(4) a person protected by the Secret Service under section 3056(a)(6);
shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.
Trump did exactly this by calling for gun owners to shoot and kill Hillary Clinton.
The Secret Service should arrest Trump right now for breaking the law. He should not be allowed to get away with this. If Hillary Clinton had said this about Trump conservatives would be screaming bloody murder.
The law is clear. Threatening a former First Lady with death or bodily harm is a felony offense and it cannot be ignored.
