Damn, Can We Let Malia Obama Live?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/evelyn-atieno/damn-can-we-let-malia-obama-live_b_11286818.html?

She chose to go to the music festival Lollapalooza instead of the DNC. For this she was criticized.

For some reason The Huff won't let me copy unless I send it to FB. You will have to go to the link to read it. Some cruel comments. Once again our first family is attacked.

Why is this family held to a higher standard than any other? It is because they are a black family that resides in The White House.

when she was in the WH.

Of course, that was before the internet.

But the vile pigboy managed to say truly nasty things about her.

I also remember DU posting lots of pix of the Bush girls having a good time.

It has been unprecedented and vile. They have been held to a far higher standard than any white Presidential family.

Oh. I am old enough to know what they said about Chelsea.

I mentioned they were black, because they are and I have never seen a White First Family so vilified. Ever!

I will also say they have far more dignity and grace the way they handled the filth.

I hope her parents have prepared her for this, that her every move will be examined and criticized for some time to come and if she bothers with the gutter press and social media, she'll be under the impression she can't do anything right.

Given the choice at 18, I'd have gone to the festival, also. Good for her for living instead of being a prop in someone else's life.

African Americans in management must perform twice as well as their best performing white colleague to be considered in the same league as their worst performing white colleague.

and her dad's not running for office again. I don't blame her a bit for skipping the DNC. I don't recall any point in the convention where Barack and Michelle appeared on the stage at the same time, so there certainly wouldn't have been a reason for either of their daughters to appear.

a teenager wants to go to a rock concert over a political convention? 4 days of rock music v. 4 days of political speeches??? And to sweeten the deal, she gets to hang out with her parents? Yeaaa. Ok.....

Talk about digging deep for this outrage.
