Romney is a tooth sucker

In his speech today, Romney displayed a weird tick that seems to come and go. When trying to emphasize a point he will suck his teeth, causing a loud smacking sound. He did it dozens of times today in his speech in Ohio that Lawrence O'Donnell has placed on his web site. In the first few seconds of the clip alone, he does it several times. Bush hunched his shoulders, bobbed is head up and down, and panned the room when trying to make what he thought was a point. McCain sticks out his tongue at inopportune times. Romney sucks his teeth when he's trying to pause for emphasis and appear pensive and dramatic. The tick drives me crazy.

And towards the end of his speech, Romney describes a veteran of World War II at Pearl Harbor. He states that the man locked eyes at one point with a Japanese pilot "bringing armament, bringing bombardment in to attack their ship". WTF? Can't Romney just say "bombing"? What normal person would say "bringing armament" or "bringing bombardment"? It's at about the 16:23 point in the video.

He claims to be an actor, but . . . . you won't see his name on many credits.

When he makes a comment that he thinks is particularly clever, he makes that same lip-smacking sound. "I'm so smart . . . and SO amusing." "Ain't I cute?"

came from a person who had no idea what he was talking about. How much longer will it take folks to understand this dude didn't come from the world we came from? He doesn't even know what a fucking doughnut is. He's incapable of caring for the common man because he has nothing in common with him. If he could devise a way to not breathe the same air, he would do it. Do the veterans really trust a draft dodger with their benefits? Do the enlisted men really want to salute a draft dodger?! How can he console a wounded soldier with a straight face? He's a fraud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I've agreed with in this campaign thus far is, "The more people get to know Mitt Romney, the less they like him."

Standin' at the podium, suckin' that tooth.
Suckin' them front teeth, suckin' them behind,
Suckin' all the other teeth, man has lost his mind!

Lookit that tooth-sucker, think's he somethin',
Thinks he's talkin' good stuff, ain't sayin' nothin'.
How to be a tooth-sucker? No way to duck it,
Find yourself a good tooth and rair back and suck it!

Using technical or obscure words instead of simple, well know action ones. Fine for a doctoral thesis, bad news when trying to persuade.

Which would get your attention?

1. The required compliment of armament is secure on the aircraft

2. That mofo is loaded for bear

Tooth sucking: He's uncomfortable, nervous

Merely more evidence he wants the perks; he doesn't like what he has to do to get them

Bob must have been pulling his strings to suck his teeth.

A 3rd grader could do a better job with the same remarks.

I loved the two kids sitting on the side - were they his grandchildren?
They were about to go to sleep -- priceless.
Wasn't one chewing gum?

Why doesn't he stand still ?
Public Speaking 101 ~ he would get a Big Fat "F - "
I can't believe that he is the best the Rethugs can deliver.

Let's be quiet and not tell anyone what we think about his little "Time On Stage"

What soldier refers to BOMBS as armament? What caveman says, "He locked eyes with the enemy knowing he was bringing armament?" No, jackass. "He locked yes with the enemy knowing he was going to drop bombs on us." When you lie, do it convincingly, or shut the ???? up!

Spousal unit was a munition maint tech (ammo man), 20 years AF. Never heard him use the word. Munitions is about as techie talk as it ever got. Usually the go-bangs are Mark (number here) or bombs when he remembers that not everyone has the AF munitions inventory VN era memorized.

Mitts read or heard the word somewhere, sometime and he thinks he sounds "with it"

I'll use a personnel management techie talk word: Asshole

Tooth sucking.

Dog on car.

Can't call a doughnut a doughnut.

Sport.

Tormenting a gay young man.

Etc.

Add your own examples.

Not a team player. You never see him talking to staff or joking around - anti social.

There is no "there there" in his facial expression.

I can't think of any politician that acts like he does -- hand shakes are not sincere.

He strings words together but they have no meaning.

He is a robot , no empathy, no soul.

He looks like a person that didn't get hugs from his Mother - no warmth

Mitts will tell us about his hand-to-hand battle with a bear.

If a fighter plane is close enough to you to see the pilot's eyes, one of you is dead or about to be or you're his crew chief.
