(38,311 posts)6. I can't even watch U.S. television news anymore.
I remember my dad used to get home from work, pop open a beer, and watch Walter Cronkite on the CBS Evening News. That was nothing like today's flashy loud television news which seems to be written for eight year olds with attention deficit disorders, even though the advertising is for pharmaceutical and personal hygiene products of interest to retired folks with health issues.

https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/sightings/
That may give you another perspective of how fast it goes...Really it just takes like 45 seconds or so I think to go across the whole sky and is pretty neat to see.
