About 20 arson fires have been set in Billings since March, and the Billings Police Department has asked the public provide it with information to help its efforts in dealing with the criminal activity, according to a press release issued by Billings police Wednesday.
A "significant number" of the fires were set along Grand Avenue, but recently Dumpster fires have been set in the downtown area, according to the press release from Billings Police Lt. Neil Lawrence.
"The public is encouraged to be aware and report any suspicious activity that may relate to the setting of these fires," according to the press release.
Those with information about the fires can contact the Billings Police Detective Division at 406-657-8473 or Crime Stoppers at 406-246-6660, according to the press release.
