Their tree was knocked down by the storm and their mother was nowhere to be found. The homeowner rescued them and they are now in the care of a wildlife rescue agency.

I used to feed them but people told me we weren't supposed to. The mother used to bring them to my back patio. They were the size of grapefruits.

(111,417 posts)3. Baby raccoons are some of the cutest critters out there
and not terribly hard to hand raise. Better keep them outdoors, though, because you want them to be on their own as soon as puberty rears its ugly head. They might still act tame, but they're not once they grow up.
