Fiorina, Rubio, Walker address AFP ‘Dream’ summit
ORLANDO, Fla. Three of the 16 Republican presidential candidates that didnt make the GOP nomination cut made a big impression Saturday on the 2,000-plus conservative activists gathered at Orlandos Orange County Convention Center.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, and former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina were among the featured speakers at the Americans for Prosperity 10th annual Defending the American Dream Summit.
Walker, the nemesis of the Wisconsin left, crashed early in the presidential sweepstakes and dropped out nearly a year ago. Fiorina stuck around until February. Rubio was one of the last few contenders before being forced out of the race by the runaway Donald Trump train.
But the also-rans, particularly Walker and Rubio, once again drove home why they are among the top standard bearers of the limited-government movement in America.
