3. It has been said that Eisenhower wanted everyone to know the horros of war. He did this:

After the concentration camps were liberated, and the bodies and horror were found, Eisenhower made the footage of the liberation of camps easily available to all the news media of those times. So, when people went to the movies, they saw in the Weekly News Reel....(yes it was played with the movies along with a cartoon and often a short) pictures of the piles of bodies and horror of burnt remains in the ovens. And this news played over and over again, so most people who went to movies saw those horrors... (In the mid 40s, there as no TV as was known in the 50s. Early TV, mid 40s, was all black and white, few stations, and limited broadcast areas)..People really did get their weekly news pictures and sights from going to the movies and watching News Reels)

General Eisenhower wanted people to see and possibly feel (if possible) the incredible horror of man's inhumanity to man, and what war does to populations of civilians. The only way was to make those films available back home in the quiet friendly local movie theaters that existed in most neighborhoods and towns in the mid 40s

8. I truly believe Trump has a mental disorder.

A lot of business strategy is referred to in militaristic terms and "going to war" is a common euphemism. Most people understand that it is merely a way to describe the activity and don't equate it to the real act of war. Trump however has taken his business dealings to actually give him insight and experience in what war and combat entails. One thing he fails to grasp is that many of the so called "wars" he fought in business he simply walked away from though bankruptcy or some other shady accounting trick. Doesn't work that way in a real war.

So to sum up, here we have a man who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, spent most of his adult life conning others to get what he wanted, and now BELIEVES that not only does his questionable business experience qualify him to lead our nation's economic and social interests, but also that he has the ability to lead our military. This to me indicates a man who's grasp of reality is non existent.

I mean, sure, we're all fascinated to hear about how much he knows about everything, the size of his genitals, and his take on everyone else's loser ways, but perhaps someone in the popular media could ask Trump just what it is he loves about war. Is it the death? The mayhem? The destroyed buildings? The looting and rioting? The famine and disease that follow after? The nightmares of the participants? Maybe it's the unexploded ordnance left behind? Or the way people compensate for lost fingers and toes, or lost arms, or lost legs? The orphans?

There's just so much to love about war.

21. Neither He Nor His Sons/daughters

Donald Trump loves war because neither her nor his sons/daughters have ever been to war, or died in war. President Eisenhower hated war because he saw the horrors of war. Most people who see the horrors of war do not like war. President Roosevelt also saw the horrors of war. As he said, he saw the mothers, fathers, wives, and children affected by war. He likely saw their pain and tears. Donald Trump most likely has not spent very much time with the families affected by war.

If this is a true comment, it is extremely terrible that a man who received five deferments during the Vietnam War would say he loves war. He did not love war during the Vietnam War. Maybe if he had actually gone to war he would not love war.
