CHICAGO -- You can own your own piece of Wrigley Feld sod!

The Chicago Cubs started replacing the grass at the park Wednesday, and they're getting rid of the old stuff free of charge.



Reports said it wouldn't be available until 9 a.m. Thursday, but there is sod out there right now! It is free to take.

We'd recommend getting there soon as last year's sod went quickly.

11. I'm a bit obsessive with those guys, I admit it.

Got into them around 1984 or so, when Reckoning came out.

I'm not obsessive enough to spend a grand for a copy of the Mekis book on ebay, though.

Also, I'm an old North Sider myself- I'd love it if the Cubs would actually win, but I've been disappointed by them enough times to know not to EVER get my hopes up.
