Clinton screws up apology

Although she was correct with her assessment I wish she had not said it. But once it was out there in the media she should have remained firm. I knew she was going to cave and give a terrible apology that does nothing but continue the "controversy"

Just like I thought she would. She should have been firm and said that Trump's hateful rhetoric has brought out the worse in people and has attracted supporters like David duke and the alt right. His rallies are unruly and people express hate.

For some reason, if she had just kept it vague it would have been better.

By saying "half" you've got a lot of conservatives looking at each other like dunces, asking "Is it me? Is she talking about you?"

And then they all get mad at "divisive" Hillary.

I think walking back the "half" part is good.

Been better but walking back of half keeping rest of it is good... Now her surrogates can take over.

For normal people is it really outrageous to think many of trumps supporters are hateful bigots ?

She said that she shouldn't have said "half" but stood by the rest of the statement. Seems fine to me.

I'm glad she said it in the first place - I doubt that she'll lose a single vote over it.

It brought out the despicable positions of a large number of T's supporters.

She ripped their white sheets off their faces and showed who they are. Naked haters of all stripes.

For being called a racist? Or are you in the other half?

Also, if you are offended for being called "sexist, homophobic or xenophobic"?

If you were in the other half of supporters for Donald Trump, you would have no need to feel offended...
