Trump's slogan infuriates me

For several reasons

First, the implications. America isn't great now because a black Democrat...I mean, Kenyan Muslim socialist is president. Also, "those people" have equal rights. But when I get in office, America won't suck anymore because I'll Take Murika Back. Blacks will get shot by cops and "2nd Amendment Patriots" for jaywalking, all Muslims will be banned, Christianity will be the official state religion (even though I have never shown any interest in Christianity until this year and that's only to pander to you suckers), assault rifles will be available in vending machines, and my VP will make sure gays are shoved back into the closet and a woman's uterus becomes official property of the federal government. There will be more Orlandos and more Trayvon Martins because of the climate of hate I create. And that's what I define as a great America.

Second, the double standard that goes with it. We all know Trump supporters are the same people who screamed "love it or leave it!" at anyone who questioned W back in 2003. If a Democrat said he was going to make America great AGAIN, they would be screaming for him to GTFO of THEIR country and move to France. But again, these True Patriots(TM) don't consider America great now because a black Democrat is president.

Trump may be an ignorant buffoon about a great many things, but he is a master at manipulation and the con, and that phrase was designed precisely for those purposes.
