Someone has hacked my account I would not ask anyone here for their personal information if you get a request for personal info do not give it. I have contacted LE and the person or persons will be tracked if they use my old email account.
This game the stalker is playing terrified my kids nobody gets by with that shit. I have a gun and I won't hesitate to use it if they come near me or my family

(146,345 posts)Contact the admins by email right away, and change passwords on all other accounts right away. If the person has you email logon, contact the provider to alert them, too. It is serious, indeed.

(21,506 posts)It would depend a lot on how carefull this person is. It is pretty trivial to hide your origins on the internet though so I wouldn't count on it.
I am glad they actually have someone who is trying but from the sudden explosion of these incidents here I am betting a group found a target that is easy to mess with and they are enjoying the hell out of the reaction.
It can be disturbing but the best reaction is to ignore it. They are looking to get a rise out of people. If they don't get it they move on to more responsive targets.

Had a laptop crash and I'm temporarily locked out of most of my accounts
Is there an email I should use to contact you off site in case of emergency

-------
I replied with an off email, not my real one because you need more of a relationship to get that.
Then another pm in reply

Shouldn't be too long until I get it recovered
Thanks

(19,569 posts)Same for anyone else here who received any such emails. It may help them with narrowing down the IP, which should help the LE in an investigation. I'm sure they're using a proxy, but LE has ways around such, depending on the charges.
Unless their home isn't in the US, (which I highly doubt) we may manage to get rid a nasty little bit of troll work for 2-10 years.

(19,569 posts)I should have realized you already had. You're smart, and know how to manage situations like this.
I alerted to the admin in MIRT about the situation as well.
