The GOP Is Blaming Democrats For Crises They Caused. Media Helping Them.

Trump's visit to Flint is a ploy to blame Democrats for the poison that a GOP governor and legislature caused. And the GOP is farming the Democrats for their obstruction. The media sadly is aiding them. The GOP could not play this con if the media would expose them. Then again, their allies own the media.

Of course that has been the plan all along. The GOP message is "vote for us or we will destroy the country". And if they get the power they will destroy the country anyway.

1. They have been spinning it that way for years

The Republicans create a mess, then blame the Democrats who actually clean up after them.

4. Decades

I first noticed it with economic cycles, with Republican presidents reaping (and taking credit for) the prosperity resulting from their Democratic predecessor's policies, and studiously dismantling those policies.

Then a Dem gets elected, only to run smack into the disaster created by his GOP predecessor, for which the GOP (and the media) happily blame the Democrat. The Democrat remains in office just long enough to establish a few good polices, and the benefits of those policies manifest during the presidency of his GOP successor.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

It was during one of these cycles that I realized the following...

The President has no power to influence the economy unless:
1. The economy is weak and the President is Democrat or
2. The economy is strong and the President is Republican.

In either of those cases, the GOP & media place the blame/credit entirely to the Prez.

5. They are quick to blame the previous Democratic President for their recessions
