for having the guts to do what no one else has: Simply interrupt one of Donald Trump's hateful, self-aggrandizing campaign stump speeches, and tell him to knock it off.

The courtesy and gentleness you showed in admonishing Mr. Trump was more than he deserved.

Thank you for all the work you and your parishioners have done for the residents of Flint.

Church women put together dinners for shut-ins and coat drives for school kids. They gather supplies for the homeless and for flood victims and for battered women. And they can silence a noisy child (or a political candidate - same thing!) with a sharp look and a few sharper words.

Rev. Faith Green Timmons makes me proud to be a United Methodist.

I'm Catholic, and have always found the Methodists to be generous, tolerant, interested in others and the community. Never met one I didn't like.

My brother-in-law is Catholic, and he taught us how to get past the Protestant alarm in his church, so we can attend mass.

The priest loved having us there, too. His mother was Methodist, and he said that the congregation always sang better when we Methodists came to visit!

was catcalling him, saying Trump was a guest of the church and they needed to behave respectfully.

You won't hear anything about that in Trump's version of the events.

He just proved what the mayor of Flint said - that he was there only for photo ops. All he wanted to do was trash-talk Hillary to a new audience. But there's a reason that Black voters don't trust him. They KNOW. They weren't born yesterday. They fully-well KNOW. And they won't be fooled. Hell, they know more about having to deal with Deplorables than perhaps any other community in this country does! The rest of us should take a lesson from this, and from them. Actually - the rest of us should take another lesson from them. The Black community can teach us MANY vital things about humanity and our general lack thereof.

What a vile, vulgar piece of work.
