(17,199 posts)His remark was about 50% of the entire population.
So if we're going just by the numbers, it's obvious who insulted more people.
(If you think about it, Trump outRomneyed Romney.)
I hope her campaign becomes aware of Trump's remarks. I hope they create an ad and her surrogates talk it up.
It would be nice for a change to see the MSM get all lathered up over a Trump controversy.

(17,199 posts)Trump this morning:
My opponent described tens of millions of American citizens as deplorable and irredeemable how can Hillary Clinton seek to lead this country when she considers its citizens beyond redemption?

We need to neutralize this argument by creating a sh*tstorm over HIS attack against 50 PERCENT of the American people.

(21,056 posts)How he can say, "how can Hillary Clinton seek to lead this country when she considers its citizens beyond redemption?", when he says half the nation is unwilling to work (Okay, just a tad CRAZY DONNIE!), with a straight face is the laughable part. She hopefully will say in the debate when he says this to her, that she's referencing his notable number of racists, etc, and yet he called half of America out, which is an absurd number.

(17,199 posts)And she should borrow from his statement this morning:
Trump: My opponent described tens of millions of American citizens as deplorable and irredeemable how can Hillary Clinton seek to lead this country when she considers its citizens beyond redemption? (actual quote)
Hillary: My opponent attacked 150 million Americans. How can a person seek to lead this country when he considers half its citizens lazy moochers. (suggested quote she make in her ad)

(17,199 posts)I think she needs to use what he says in that video and make an ad. Call it "Trump's Attack On The 50%!"
And I think, in that ad, she should borrow from what Trump said this morning in a speech he delivered at the NY Economic Club.
Trump: My opponent described tens of millions of American citizens as deplorable and irredeemable how can Hillary Clinton seek to lead this country when she considers its citizens beyond redemption? (actual quote from this morning's speech)
Hillary: My opponent attacked 150 million Americans. How can a person seek to lead this country when he considers half its citizens lazy moochers. (suggested quote she make in her ad)
I think that would make a great ad!

(17,199 posts)the GOP take thinks out of context.
But I think we really need to neutralize this move by Trump to paint Hillary as the "Romney 47%" of 2016. And an ad coming down on Trump for attacking NOT 47% BUT 50 PERCENT of Americans is just what is called for at this critical moment in the campaign.
Think about it. In disparaging 50% of Americans, Trump OUTROMNEYED Romney!
