I think it make it look a bit like Trump is jerking her around, and covertly running her campaign.

Trump is so manipulative. He's practiced at baiting people, and somehow making them look bad. (It helps to be a world class liar)

3. To this one I think a fitting joke response woulld be best.

MSNBC, which I once watched regularly, spends 45 minutes of their programming criticizing Clinton, 3.48 minutes criticizing Trump, and 13.52 minutes advertising.
