My friend received a veiled threat over her Hillary sign:

I need someone to PM me to instruct me on how to post photos to DU. My friend had a Hillary sign up and was leaving for work yesterday only to find her sign had been torn off of the wire backing and a headless rabbit stuck on the wire, and the head of the rabbit was lying next to the torn up sign. Her husband is going to e-mail me the pictures so I can post them here.
My friend has put up two new Hillary signs, and they have installed a wildlife camera.

Certainly this kind of episode is not impossible or even unlikely, but it's also an unambiguous threat and a crime.

If the "friend" hasn't already reported it to the police, then I have to wonder why. In addition, a terroristic act involving the mutilation of a cute animal specifically to suppress political speech is the kind of golden opportunity that local news reporters dream of.

I am posting the pics in the hopes that they get some attention on FB (I don't use FB). I was shocked when she showed me the pics today, and this needs exposure to show how sick some Trump supporters are and how Trump has helped foment this type of violence toward Hillary and her supporters.

Yes, they did report it to the Sheriff's Dept. The Sheriff suggested that they install wildlife cameras to hopefully catch the person(s) that did this. The Sheriff is very interested in catching the culprits. As I said, two new signs are up, as is a hidden wildlife camera.

She did report it to the local paper and the editor is interested in running this in next week's edition.

embed it with razor blades. that's what I did and a couple idiots got their hands sliced and I didn't have any more trouble with the signs. I had a gate and these fuckwads came to steal my Obama sign and or mess it up (happened four times before I got wise)

I prefer the habanero/water/dish soap solution painted onto the signs. Idiot takes them, he's going to have a lot of fun with flaming pink bits the next time he takes a leak. You can't be charged or sued over capsaicin, it does no physical harm. It just hurts like hell.
